PHEW. The exam this year was a mess. I didn't study enough last year but last years wasn't perfect but way better. I studied like crazy this year and except for a lil neuro the psychiatry, I wouldn't have studied any differently . The test was a few days earlier this year and results came out at 830 am on this date last year. I SO don't want to have this random exam again. I graduated in 2015 didn't take it the first year so my BE time is tick tocking away. Thank you.
 
I was thinking tomorrow or Tuesday, I am so scared I flunked - AGAIN.
 
So the newest email says scores by 12/22....

Yeah, that's a LONG time. I am praying I eeked by. Getting all by email nothing snail mail. I just need to know pass or fail. And right before the holidays, gonna make or break some peoples holidays.

It seems unprofessional and amateurish that they originally promised results by the 12th and then pushed it back by ten days. How can it take this long to score a multiple choice computer exam?

I like to think they they're giving back a lot more points so more people pass. 😀

Ditto 🙂. They released the child psych scored before the stated date so maybe any day. 11 more days after today. Last year results were sent at 830 am

I doubt it. They got right down to the wire and extended it ten days. They should have a good ETA by then and wouldn’t say the 22nd if it wasn’t pretty damn close to that.

I guess we shall see. They released the child results early. For now I have hope and prayer............. I hope we all pass, especially for those who have taken it and failed . Prayers and good luck to us all. <3
 
One day this week for initial results. Child psych was released a few days early. If not today, at least by Friday. Good luck to all. It has been a long excruciating wait.
 
Been checking for updates in physician folios... noticed I am now getting an error message when I click on the “apply for an examination” link... not sure if this means anything... anyone else getting the same error?

I have been getting that same message for the past couple of weeks.

I have not been getting error message when I click for apply for examination....I see options to apply for other exams including child & adolescent, no adult psych exam option

I'm pretty sure there's no way to game the system. It will either tell you that you passed or failed, and any other way you tried to read into it is just going to mess with you more.

As if it needs to mess with us any more than it already has.....................................
 
There’s no sense in checking. Right when they were due to release scores, they extended it 10 days. There’s no way it comes out before then.

I stand corrected.
 
Logged into this morning with a VERY nerouvs heart/sweaty hands.

Scrolled down to see "Certified" so I didn't even need to open the actual report but passed! Whew!!!

Congrats to all who passed this year.

And now looking at all the CMOC requirements.....and so it seems the suffering continues.....
 
I passed, and I am relieved. I walked out really unsure, but did very well. I still feel like a lot of that is random chance

In terms of prep: I read Spiegel a couple of times over and did the main videos for Beat The Boards which I thought was great. I also did their test bank which was very helpful for the style of questions.

Thanks. I was close, too bad this isn't horse shoes or hand grenades. I am going to add on a few more question books and board vitals and go to Kaufmanns course over the summer in NY. I get to keep my BTB and someone has been kind enough to send me the newer edition of Spiegel. I am going to focus on memorization of childhood diseases. neuro and the DSM 5 until probably April and then start questions. Hopefully the third time is the charm. I really hope to match into FP and being BC in psych was my hope that it would improve my chances of that which are slim, but if I am stuck in psych it is much easier to make a living being board certified. I am also going to work on my performance anxiety .
