Is there a website where pass rates on the boards for each school are published?

Thanks.

Probably, but this should not be a deciding factor in your choice of schools. Most students pass, and most students study from review books on their own, so it's really the responsibility of the student to do well on the board exams.

Hi,

I have been searching for more information on pass rates for different schools as well. I have read that the US pass rate for Step 1 is between 88 and 90%. To me, these rates seem awfully low considering the time and effort that goes in to deciding who to accept into medical school. My reasoning is that schools should be able to predict who is going to pass and would select those students preferentially over those who are likely to take the USMLE multiple times. This should lead to pass rates of nearly 100%, I would think. Sure, there will be extenuating circumstances that lead to a few students not passing, but with such small class sizes, I would expect students who are falling behind to have ample help and intervention to prevent failing the USMLE.

Does anybody have any info on any school's recent pass rates? I have seen the thread with average scores, and am not as interested in that.

Thanks!
