Perhaps someone can answer this concern. I am a second year osteopathic student preparing to take the boards step 1 next semester. Most of our classes based on specific systems teach us pathology, diagnosis and treatment. I have several of the core board review books (BRS, FA) yet none of these discuss any treatment. Am I to believe the boards will have no questions regarding Rx, that it is simply enough to know basic facts? 😕

eh, they ask questions regarding treatment, but I think thats more step 2.

it'll be basic things, from what I can tell, like what would you give someone with Wilson's Disease or a case presentation of someone with lyme's disesease, what would you give them, etc.

Or what would you're first step in management be.

Its there, just not in great detail.

Hey Relish,
Comlex I is a slightly different beast. You will get a couple of questions on treatment. From what alot of my friends who have taken Comlex I, they liken it more to USMLE II. In fact, some of my friends who have prepped for Comlex I in June 2004, studied (more like just read through) from Internal Medicine and Surgery Underground Clinical Vignette Series. They did well. But, of course, they did well in school, also. Just my $0.0000002. Hope it helps.

COMLEX does cover some tx.

The main tx stuff will be covered in pharmacology. Know your bugs & drugs for sure. There also is some OMM tx questions.
