the mean was like 75 (c+/b-) but i got 65

the professor is really horrible and i dont think i can survive in this class......unless getting C or somehting like that

what action should i do?

i have never retaken withdraw or incomplete
should i withdraw this class? ( i think i read it somewhere no SDN about withdraw)

please help...me..

1. Ask the professor if he curves, or what his previous grade distribution of the class was .

2. If he does NOT curve, Withdraw.

Easy way out, take the W and try again later.

If you want to accomplish something, bear down and make a B in the course.

If the class average was 75, it is obviously a fair class and with hard work you can pull yourself up to a B.

When is the last day to withdraw the class with a W?

This is what I would do if I was in your shoes.....

IF your next test is BEFORE the due date to withdraw with a W, then talk to the professor to see how to improve and get the grade you want and give everything you got into studying for the next test (ask professor for help, read textbook, study with friend, etc..). If you do well, stick with the class. If you don't do well, withdraw.
However.... if the next test is AFTER the withdraw due date, then I would speak to the professor about dropping and/or withdraw from the course.

Hope this helps 🙂

you have three options..1) continue to cry about it and bow out without a solid fight. 2) like previously mentoned speak with the professor discuss curves, although I wouldn't because 75 is a great class average; but what I would talk to him/her about is study habits, and what to focus on in the future. option 3) work harder than everyone else and be 20 points above the curve..often times professors realize an outlier test has occurred and are willing to look past one bad test score. If I were you I would probably go for a hybrid of option 2 and 3

with a 75 class avg, you'd be curving down lol

thanks guys but i just decided to change to p/np option since i cant drop due to financial aid options..

thanks for your help!
