I got my MCAT score back today and am ecstatic to say I somehow managed a 524, a full 15 points higher than my highest expectations.

The question I have now is, has this opened any doors MD wise to any of the CA MD schools?
GPA: 3.21s/3.28cgpa for AMCAS (I'm taking 3 classes this summer and am acing all three so far so GPA might be up to 3.35). Failed statistics for economists freshman year. Retook, got a C. Might be a red flag?
Steep upward trend. 3.00ish with lower div science first two years to 3.9x upper div/graduate level science junior year.

Schools:
UCI
UCLA
UCSD
UCR
UCD
USC
Loma Linda

I'm planning on applying DO next year to:
Touro - CA
Touro - NV
Western U (CA)

A bit about me:
Decent LORs 2 upper division/graduate professors and 1 English professor who knows me really well. 2 DO letters. 1 possible MD letter depending on if the doctor I'm shadowing now agrees.
500 hours research (Possible publication with 4th authorship, just found out \o/)
280 hours volunteering at a hospital. (ER/ICU/Trained others)
90 hours shadowing 2 DOs and a MD. Got a letter from both DOs.
45 hours blood drive volunteer. Also donated 2 gallons of blood (regular 8 week donations for 3 years).
Academic Treasurer for a year.
Deans list - 4 quarters straight in my last two years.
I'm also about to start volunteering at a health center helping the mentally disabled/disadvantaged.
Double major in Chemical Engineering and Neuroscience.

I understand I'm below the 10th %tile for all the MD schools listed above. However, I do have one more year for classes/EC before I apply. Any thoughts on what I should do from here other than acing all my classes?

Thank you for taking the time to read this, any feedback would be appreciated.

I actually don't think this is a troll if you take the word "bombed" to accidentally be in place of a word like "destroyed"

OP, I think you'll be fine. Your GPA is low but not abysmal and your MCAT is stellar. Apply to all the school listed in addition to more low-mid MD schools for a total of probably 20-25 MD and 5 DO, and you should be set (and obviously do well in your remaining courses).

I actually didn't see the low GPA so I thought it was someone trying to stroke their ego, my bad OP. Never heard someone use that phrase to mean they did well, though.

Weird. I just googled it. I've been using that phrase to mean "did well on" my entire life and no one's corrected me before. I'm sorry for any confusion. I can't seem to find the option to edit the title.

It's all good. PM a mod if you want (you can't change it yourself). I think you're in decent shape as long as you apply intelligently (meaning add a few DOs in, though I suspect you'll get some MD interviews with that score and decent ECs)

Awesome! So there's reason to be optimistic.
OP, you ROCKED the MCAT!
Right?
I got my score report and 5 minutes later had the neighbors banging on my apartment door. Apparently, they don't appreciate impromptu breakdance/irish jig sessions.
