so i've been to nearly all the places that i can think of within my location that may have book holders but no luck ... barnes and noble, office depot and office max, and walmart.

my books avg around 800-1100 pages, my book holder is only useful whenever i'm halfway through the book since it's even.

any recommendations, i figure this is the best place to ask since Med School books are much fatterrr:laugh:

edit: BAD ASS BOOK HOLDER!

My hands.

I have heard a lot (ok a number) of people he unbind their books for ease of studying. Guess it depends on how you want to use the book.

i plan on tutoring so i don't think it's the best thing for me since i will probably need to reference throughout the book, thanks though!

i actually cried the first time i mutilated a book. seriously 🙁

but it made it a lot easier after i got used to carrying around a dismembered text. i could take whatever i needed to class and not have to haul around a bunch of information i wasn't going to use that day.

also...there have been a few books that i absolutely HAD to take apart that i ended up buying again just to have durable ones for reference later on. my bookstore lets you choose the book you buy, so you can dig through and find a used one sometimes in pretty much new condition for a lot cheaper than a new one.

I picked up a quick and easy $5 collapsible book holder at Barnes and Noble that I used when I was writing my dissertation. I was able to easily use it for Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine, which was absolutely huge (2000+ pages).
