Looking for book recommendations for 4th year anesthesia rotations.
I'm planning on doing anesthesia so I don't mind buying books that would be useful in residency, but I'd rather have something more geared towards my current level. Any thoughts on Anesthesia Secrets?
Thanks!

The two books most popular among M4's and CA1's seem to be

Basics of Anesthesia by Stoelting and Miller (AKA "Baby Miller")
ISBN: 0443068011

Clinical Anesthesiology by Morgan, Mikhail, and Murray
ISBN: 0071423583

Buying both is not necessary--each is comprehensive.

I found anesthesia secrets to be more than adequate for my m4 away and i matched there. i recommend it highly. i think the 2 above are solid but overkill for a month elective.

I agree. anesthesia secrets is great for a 4th year rotation. i also bought the Lange Clinical Anesthesiology for home reference and because everyone said i'd need it in residency anyway but it's certainly not necessary

As above.

Try a search of the forum. Also check the FAQ's.

To make the most out of it I'd get the new edition of Basics of Anesthesiology and either the Handbook of Anesthesiology or the NMS handbook. You need something for the OR.

I'd skip Morgan and Mikhail. Too much info my man.
