Books from step1 to keep for Step 2

Okay I need some space and want to clear out some step 1 books or books from my first 2 years. however are there any that you think I'll need? should I keep everything pathology and physiology? I am obviously going to keep Bates, baby bates and other clinically related books but can i get rid of Micro, neuro, pharm and biochem books? Thanks!

Ha, toss 'em all.

Honestly, each third-year clinical subject has its own review books, so unless you'd like to just have them in your bookshelf, get rid of them. Or better yet, sell them!

When I took step 2 I didn't look at anything from the first two years of med school, the topics aren't covered in that much detail and most of the review books for the step 2 subjects covers the basics you need. If not you can just look it up in the library.

Agreed. Get rid of the step 1 review books. Books for clinical rotations will be more useful now. For step 2, you'll buy step 2 review books which are VERY different (specialty-oriented, not basic science-oriented) than the step 1 ones.
