I just started my elective in anesthesiology but I basically learn nothing about anes in med school. What kind of textbook or online resources are useful for beginners? More practical things related to clinical anesthesia will be great; for example, the doctor askes me about all those monitoring parameters on anesthetic machine, ventilation, extubation criteria, etc.

NMS Anesthesiology as the first book is awesome

but if you want to pimp guard - I would go with Secrets.

for a nice long intro read - baby miller if you have more time as a medstud going into anes.
