books to help with what tests to order and diff diagnosis?

Anyone have any advice for a small pocket size book that could help me decide on what tests to order for family medicine\internal medicine type rotations?

I was thinking there might be one with disease first.

or

Possibly one with characteristic pains like LLQ abdominal pain and possibilities and tests to order.

I used a combo of mobile ddx/ diagnosaurus on my phone + pocket medicine.

Epocrates Essentials. The student rate is about $129 for a two-year subscription. I had this and pocket medicine and rarely touched pocket medicine.

I would just stick with epocrates essentials; it will still be useful down the road when you don't need something like pocket medicine.

I've noticed that some people read their pocket medicine and know it like First Aid.

I think the best one is EZ pass clinical rotations, it is small 70 pages and fine for most clinical rotations. it does not have DD but orders and managments. just look at it, hope it helps
