So I start the PharmD program this fall and I'm trying to move as little of my junk as possible and I'm wondering if it would be worth bringing some of my science textbooks with me. Has anybody found this to be particularly helpful or necessary? Can anybody offer suggestions as to what textbooks would be most useful to bring or what textbooks you would consider bringing with you?

Thanks!

You probably don't and won't need any of these books anymore.

that is a cool link I never knew about that. Thanks!

What else hasn't google told me?!?!

You will need (1) Med Chem & (1) Therapeutics text - that would be the extent of all pharmacy texts necessary. That includes undergrad as well.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the responses. They're very helpful.

I was going to post the same question, but it looks like you guys answered it!

I just got my textbook list for P1 and, oddly enough, my biochem book is a recommended text in one of my classes! That's nice. Not that I think I'll be looking too much at it, but for once I already own a book!

I'm bringing
1. Vander Physiology
2. Lehninger Biochem
Because they are used for actual classes. And
3. The Pill Book
4. Manual of Pediatric Therapeutics
Because I like them. I may as well bring my anatomy texts too...but this will, in all likelihood, be so I can look up things that I have forgotten. I hate remembering that I "saw that somewhere once"...

I brought:

1) I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell
2) Arnold's Bodybuilding Encyclopedia
3) Netter's Human Anatomy

Ah, Tucker Max. Just don't read that in class. I made the mistake of reading stories on the website and almost started laughing out loud in class.

The only book(s) I plan to bring are cooking book(s).

"A Man, a Can, a Plan" will do for me. 🙂

+1 on lehningers.
i'll probably bring a microbio textbook, i forgot the name of it (REALLY thick silver book), but we called it the bio bible
