Hi!
Does anyone know of some good light reading one can do before medical school? Not course material, but doctor's experiences and related stuff.

Many threads have already discussed this, as per usual. However, i'd like to add one that I previously didn't mention. Final Exam: A Surgeon's Memoirs on Mortality was a decent read. It delves into the whole physician-patient relationship and end-of life thing. Relatively new, but I think you'll enjoy it

i read this good book, it had a picture of a stethoscope on it, sort of arranged in the shape of a heart...i forgot the title, but it goes something like 'the soul of a doctor"...its like a memoir of experiences of med school students encountered during rotations.
