Boston Med TV Show (ABC)

Amanda, you can tell is one of those nightmare girlfriends. She's crazy. She's also got an attitude. I laughed when it reveals she gets back with her ex. Sounds like it's not gonna work out.

Bardouche is such a tool. So is Mr. "I had a $300,000 scholarship to study whatever I wanted."
Something tells me that he lost a bet. No sane man is going to add douche at the end of his last name and say it's his nickname on national TV.

I really connected with Bardouche in that scene, giving someone trouble and being ridiculous and the other person just not getting that humor. But yeah, before they went to that party all I was thinking was, "why are they at home drinking in suits?"

Protip: When someone is uncomfortably laughing at the "humor," you should probably stop. Interpersonal dynamics 101.

Well I was thinking "how the hell does a resident afford such a nice house?"

i get the feeling that most of these people on the show are just, for lack of a better word, "Nerdy"

not that it's terrible, obviously they got extremely competitive residencies

But as far as showing their personal lives, the reason they seem so awkward is perhaps because they lack social skills.... a common side effect to being "nerdy"

but again, they seem to be doing just fine professionally.

Those two residents who went to that "up-scale" party are such nerds. lol

ha i was thinking that too, especially when he was driving around in a lexus... but he said in a previous episode that he got a full ride to med school and it looked like his Mom/family were loaded to boot.

The anesthesiology resident that Bardouche was chatting up was definitely the best looking girl on the show

I don't get why so many premeds think the show sucks... I like it its entertaining which is the point right? And 2 years ago when hopkins was on, I really enjoyed watching that as well. It's TV damn it.. but on another note I can't stand that nurse Amanda I think it is.. shes cute but does seem to come off as a know-it-all, but again it's TV and they have to make characters appear a certain way.

ermm i like the show but they over dramatized it a little bit..like the clips they show in the previews...in the actual show they are like 60 seconds longer. its kinda like...thats it??
buttt it does make me want to work extra hard to get there!😀

Boston Med is a good show overall. 👍 They show good cases and a variety of different people. Although i have been told some of it was dramatized, i am working at Brigham for the summer and apparently the nurse at MGH was acting a lot and the little "love story" they did with her is fake. But mostly everyone else is "what you see, is what you get"

Seriously, that girl is friggin hot! No make-up either. She will wake up lookin like that. I hate when a different person comes out of the shower. Make-up is false advertisement! 😡

I'm going to watch episodes 3 and 4 tonight so I can catch up for tomorrow's episode.

I want to see these matching suit guys....

I liked the Obama looking guy he looked really cool, i would want him as our president. But that chick is fine 😀

Dr. Reish is a prime example of someone who is really smart academically but can not interact socially with people or connect with them. I'm pretty sure he called that patient he wouldn't write a prescription for a bitch. Yes, she was acting rude but he certainly did not handle that situation well.

EDIT: Lol at goat cheese and Vicki Christina Barcelona.

In the episode where the two tools decide to wear matching suits, that $300k scholarship guy said that he had no family when he was talking about the free time that he has. The line is either right before or after the "upscale" social gathering. Did they even mention who's place it was. I think it was Douche's place.

Yeah, his interaction with that patient was completely unacceptable. It was obvious that he was judging his patient pretty harshly without even attempting to hide his disdain. I can understand why people would come to hate their physicians if that's who they had to deal with.

That part was really funny. So haughty taughty Hawwwwwvaaard of him. Goat cheese spread.

But the Vicki Christina Barcelona was probably a good recommendation.

I LOL'd when after the patient went through a long, rambling story, he just said..."well I wasn't there for that."

Clip was probably edited to make him look like more of a **** than how he conducted himself in the beginning/rest of the interaction. + the pt. was out of her mind (as well as the daughter)

Huh? In one of the online videos (yes I went and watched the deleted scenes online) he's hanging out with his mom and brother. Are we on the same page hahaha

Just to clear some stuff up:

What I got from the family thing is Bardouche's dad died in surgery. Reish's brother had a medical condition that led him to go into medicine. I think that's all they said about that subject.

Umm, did you notice that both of those "ladies" were slurring their words? The clip was heavily edited and I'm willing to bet that the mom was in their system as a drug seeker. Once you actually get into 3rd year and beyond, you'll see how many drug seekers there really are and to what lengths they'll go to in order to get their Vicodin. That guy (Reish) is a douche, but not for denying those two narcotics.

I was thinking this exact thing. Maybe there parents help them out with rent?

I didn't see him with any family. Was that in episode 5? I only watch online and that one isn't up yet. But I do know that he said that. Maybe he was referring to a wife and kids? Well, probably, since you say he hung out with his mom.

One of them was a "Medical Assis'int" and knows more about medicine than that resident and his smart a** looks.

Episode 5 is tonight on ABC at 10 E.T.

I didn't say he hung out with his mom though...

You must be a guy ... I clearly spot mascara and eyeliner. Of course, you never know with concealer and good foundation application 😉. She's still relatively attractive. I'm no hater. Make up doesn't fix ugly, only enhances an already great foundation. I'll never get men who hate make up; they usually can't tell, ever. It's no different then sporting cologne or wearing dress up shoes with a heel or even shaving. We all want to put our best foot forward.

Agreed.

I don't think he was judging her, but I don't think any rational doctor would prescribe that woman any narcotic. It was clear that she had, um, a problem already. It's usually easy to spot "those types." That's just the way it is. He was a bit smug though.

At their swanky party, one of the guys was really confused that the Indian girl with them doesn't automatically get along great with other Indian people...

When I first heard it I thought it was a prejudicial thing to say, but after she defensively flipped the question. I saw where Bardouche was coming from. He's a first gen Egyptian who rarely finds the same in the dating world. As a first genner, I agree kind of. Of course I'm not exactly advocating endogamy.

Just watched all 4 episodes today 🙂
I thought it was great!
JD and DiBar were my fav's though I think JD could have had a hotter wife 😀

I just noticed I quoted the wrong person. Meant to quote this person.

Whateva. I'm confused now. 😕

Some makeup is fine. I think what most guys, or at least myself, don't like is when women wear so much makeup that they look drastically different without it. I have seen many women that wear so much foundation that their face is a different color than their neck. I want to be able to touch the face without having powder all over it after.

I don't do any of those three things, just so you know. Don't need to. 😎

I'm currently watching the show. The group of murses sitting around bashing residents is horrifying.

It continually amazes me how little some nurses buy into the model of the teaching hospital. They view residents as a nuisance, and would rather mock them than help them along.

Anybody hear on the show about the two doctors that we sued and lost for $26,000,000. DAMN! I think they were OBGYN's

i also found the nurses bashing the residents a little uncalled for. ultimately it really only made them look bad though.

holyy ****. i kept wondering what was the "big" thing that happened her first year that made her want to quit
