Boston U Supplemental Que #2 and Deadline?

Hi everyone, I received the supplemental email from BU recently, and have 2 questions:
1) Que #2 asks if you have any connections to BU. I do not, does anyone know if this is a bad thing?

2) When is the deadline to submit the supplemental? It is not stated in the email they sent, but on their website it says within two weeks. This is a busy time for me because I am writing final exams right now, so I was hoping that I could get started on the supplemental after my exams finish which is in ~2weeks as well.

No connection isn't bad, there's nothing you can do about it. Submit it soon, it's SO short. It should only take you 10 minutes.

I don't know why they ask about connections.... it almost looks like they are showing favoritism

It doesn't show till you try and submit, but the question "why BU?" actually has a really short character limit. I forget exactly what it was, but I could only fit in a tiny paragraph.

Is there anyway that you can create a connection? Do you know anyone who might know someone type of thing? I'm not sure if you are close with any dentists, but it might be worthwhile asking them if they know anyone who went to BU or teaches for them. If not, there isn't much you can do but say that you don't have one.

If I remember correctly, it is 1,000 characters for the first question and 300 for the second.

My AADSAS app hasnt been mailed out yet since I only esubmitted last week. With the GPA verification process and everything does this buy me a little more time to work on it? Really hoping I can spend more time on my draft as opposed to whipping it up in an hour or so haha and hopefully get a couple people to look at it.

I would make sure your happy with your responses before you submit. Seeing as the schools won't review your application until it is complete, I don't think it's a huge deal when your supplemental is submitted if your AADSAS portion is still waiting on additional materials (GPA verification, DAT scores, Letters of Rec., etc.). I wouldn't wait too long, but since you would still have to wait you should be fine.
