I just looked at the BR website for ordering, am I missing something or do these people actually want me to send in a mail in order form? is there any place where i can buy them [new] from online?
Yes, they're serious, but pretty fast in my experience. I mailed my order form and my books were here 5 business days later. They are located in California, I'm located east of the Mississippi river. No, nowhere you can buy them new online, unless someone happens to be selling their "new" copy. You can also email them, Elliot is the person who handles the orders. He was very helpful and despite all the negative things people here have to say about how TBR handles shipping/billing, I think they did just fine.
I think people here try to make it seem impossible to get books directly from TBR just to convince you to buy used books from them.
Yeah it's ******ed lol. I ended up buying mine used which was a bad idea, was barely cheaper than brand new however it has a few markings that are quite annoying
I'm on board with you here. SDN is probably your best bet at getting TBR books from anywhere other than TBR itself, but people here are trying to get 90%+ of the cost back plus you don't know if the books are marked, missing pages, bent, coffee stained, etc. I originally tried to buy TBR books from here and both sellers wanted me to "gift" the money to them via paypal (obvious scam, imo) before they mailed the books off.
I know you didn't ask for advice, but my advice is to buy them new from TBR. Oh, and pay with a credit card, it's the fastest way (they say it takes 10 days+ to process a check). I paid with a credit card and the charge showed up 3 days after I mailed my order form. Assuming it took at least 24 hours for the order form to get to them, they processed my order, and had it to me about as quick as if you were to buy something from amazon (without prime).
