I can buy 5 BR paper full-lengths from before the MCAT was shortened for $30. However, I'm also definitely going to spend $200 on all of the CBT's from Berkeley Review as well. Do you think these CBT's reuse the same questions as the paper versions? I don't want to waste money on the paper versions just to see the same questions twice.

It all depends on when the paper exams are from. For about two years, they released the exam in both a CBT format and paper before going CBT only. Obviously those wouldn't be worth it if you're getting the CBT versions too. If the exams were from 2004 or 2005 it might be worth it. Some passages might overlap because that's when they started to build their CBTs.

Speaking of the possibility of passages overlapping, is there a way to find out how many and/or which passages in the BR VR book overlap with the current BR CBTs?

It should be zero, because they were written by separate people. The current verbal book should be completely different from the CBTs, as far as I know.

Ok, thanks, that makes me feel much better. One more related question: is there a way to find out how many and/or which passages in the BR VR book overlap with passages on AAMC practice exams?

My first thought would be zero. I just read in the discussion thread that someone saw a similarity with a passage from AAMC 9, but that struck me as odd. The Berkeley passages were written before AAMC 9 was released, so it would make sense they might be on similar topics, but the questions are no doubt different. Also, as I mentioned in that thread, it's been a while since I've been through the verbal book and it's been revised since then, so I'm not completely up to speed.
