BR vs GS full lengths practice tests

So ignoring the prices of the tests, if it comes down to it and for the sake of practicing, which one would be more comparable to the AAMC's FLs, or even the actual MCATS?

I have 7 weeks (about) left till June 18th, and i'm a few topics away from being done with content review, I'm def buying all the AAMC's FL, but I dunno if I want to buy BOTH BR's AND GS's, any advices? 😕

If time is a factor whereas money is not, the answer would clearly be TBR. The GS verbal reasoning is incomplete, with sometimes no explanation given, and there are more than one accounts of them having errors. Don't expect to get more than you paid for with the GS tests. They are good cheap tests (a steal on ebay) that give good practices for those who have exhaulted most of their resources already. TBR, however, do give full explanations of what the correct and wrong answers are. Very minimal errors and good conceptual examples.

I am presuming you did not take a prep class as the AAMC tests would be included as well as Full Length exams. Your best bet is TBR. EK also has 3 full-length exams, however, they also have a few errors and are in the paper-based format. Best of luck!

While GS tests are definitely pieces of **** and your scores will be much lower than what you should be getting, they still make good timed practice. Because you get so used to trying to be tricked in every possible way on every question on the GS tests, when you move to the AAMC tests you simply destroy them. They are just so easy and straightforward after GS tests.

You can get all 10 GS tests for $40 on ebay. BR only has 7 tests, are way more expensive and aren't any better than GS, excluding the fact GS does have missing answer explanations on the VR. You shouldn't be relying on BR for VR anyways. The AAMCs are the best predictors, followed by EK 101 VR passages.
