I would think that most brachytherapy is performed by a radiation oncologist, but do you know of interventional radiologists also doing brachytherapy? Just curious.
 
Yeah I have not heard of IR doing traditional brachy, but radioembolization is something that is an exception. Riad Salem at Northwestern has done the majority of work in this arena.
 
when i worked at the Brigham, the IR did brachytherapy using a MRT (MR Therapy by GE)... They recently retired this machine (and there were only 10 in the world) so I don't know if they are still doing them there.
