Till after the sixth block of step 1, i was over the moon. After the last block, i was down in the dumps. Information uptake and processing became quite slow and as a result i think the last block brought down my score.
do any of you went through that? what is the prevention against brain fatigue for future exams eg. step 2? please share your experience and knowledge.😳

You bring up an excellent point and it is wise of you to address this prior to your Step 2 CK exam. I luckily thought to bring some generic Vivarin (Caffeine pills) to my exam, just a few days before it was scheduled. I took one Caffeine pill (with one Tylenol, as headache prophylaxis) after blocks 5 nd 6. This raised my mental awareness/sharpness by a very noticeable amount. I felt confident overall by the end of 7 blocks (and did not want to overdo it), so I chose not to take one after the 7th block. In retrospect (actually, during the 8th block!), I should have taken another Caffeine pill after block 7 as well. I highly recommend looking into this; maybe you could give it a shot before your test.

I am taking thet the CK portion in the coming weeks and will def. consider using that approach as I have heard the exam itself is physically and mentally draining.Thanks.

Thank u manning for your experience and advice.
I'll try it for the upcoming exams. I think glucose solution also helps by providing energy for the tired neurons.👍

I, too, felt very mentally fatigued but not physically as I was sitting in a nice cushiony seat with lumbar support. 🙂 What may I ask were you doing that made you physically drained?

Bulletproof just said he/she HEARD the exam was mentally and physically draining. It's mentally tiring for obvious reasons, but it is conceivable for one to be physically fatigued by the end of the day as well. I was basically spent by the time I walked out!

The content is much easier than step one...but damn that test was a meat grinder. You really feel the extra qestions and extra long vignettes. I reccommend doing lots of timed 47 ? blocks in the last week, plus bringing something like a pack of red bulls to pound between blocks.
