Branch size determines the number of scholarships and residency spots, right?

Army 562,000

Navy 324,000 +201,000 (marines) = 525,000

The dental needs of both branches seem close, yet why does the army have so many more scholarships and residency spots?

Not really. At least for the AF, its determined by the size of the Dental Corps and what our current needs are. Each service uses a different calculation for their size because their missions are slightly different.

The Army has the largest Dental Corps followed by the navy and then the AF. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
