Bread an butter cases: Cases where we allow the patient to have bread an butter before anesthesia so they don't wake up hungry.

Bread and Butter represents things you see daily, the types of cases which support your practice. Straightforward, few complexities, basically no-brainer cases you could do in your sleep.

It depends on what your practice is, though. If you focus on cardiac, bread and butter would be CABG. Peds? T&A, etc.

I guess plank figured if you couldn't figure out what it meant on your own, you would pretty much believe anything.
To be fair, I don't believe English is her first language. She's probably just not familiar with idioms that are obvious to us.

I actually think that CRNA's intentionally give patients bread and butter before anesthesia to make cases bread and butter cases.
