Hi,

I've been practicing for the VR section with EK 101 and I can't seem to break a 10. I've done 5 tests so far and my score has been a 10 for all 5 of them. My score refuses to budge even after review. Any tips on how to increase my score?

you must be at that subtlety mark where your scores may only get better by sharpening those fine distinctions between the 2 answer choices? If so, i'm struggling with this as well.

Me too!! For the questions I don't know the answers to, currently I always find myself narrowing down to two choices. Then eventually after missing most or half my guesses, I end up getting a 9 or 10. I can't seem to break a 10 either, and not just in VR but in BS and PS too. With a little over a month left to go before the real deal, I don't know what to do!!

I guess we just need to get even better at guessing. Or something 😕

Use an AAMC to see if it's accurate. A lot of people do better on the AAMC than they did on EK.

Wow, I have the same issue! Have been stuck getting 10's on the last 6 or so tests...can't seem to break it.

I think I'm going to try using the EK method more religiously--really focusing on the "main idea," which I haven't been doing enough.

muhali3, I haven't finished my science review so I don't want to 'waste' an AAMC just yet.

To the rest, I guess we're all in the same boat. It's so frustrating because I'm always 2 or 3 mistakes away from an 11. I think I have to train myself to read faster so that I have more time to reason out the answers. Maybe you guys should try that?

I was getting consistent 9-11's on EK101 passages and 60% of them were like this:
I'd miss maybe 3 questions total through most passages. Then on one passage I missed ALL but one question, dropping my score to a 10 or so. Really ****ing weird.
