This goes back to one of my prior comments, rad oncs hurt each other in the worst ways just to gain on an independent level.

I also like the term “radiotherapist”
In tumor board if a surgeon refers to us as "radiotherapists," I make sure to use "surgerize" in a sentence somehow. It's a word that seems to really make them strangely mad. Kind of like Uncle Buck's hat.

Maybe zero and done? And ageism?

"Rad oncs": ~9% local control benefit with RT (p<0.0001), but no OS benefit, in older breast patients... RT not nec. standard of care
(Also rad oncs: ~2.5% local control benefit with ENI RT (p=0.024), but no OS benefit... ENI RT is standard of care.)

And this is exactly why I almost never treat uninvolved IMNs routinely. Doing so would make me a hypocrite.
