brief statement

hi, this is my first thread so I am not too familiar with how this works. I have several questions but I thought that I'd start with this one; How long is a brief statement? I am filling out my application to PCOM and it reads, "Please attatch a breif statement indicating why you wish to become an osteopathic physician. Indicate specific reasons why you want to attend PCOM." This pretty broad topic. I have been writing for a little while now and I am already over a page single spaced. I am thinking this is already too long and I have not even answered everything that I wish to include. Can anyone offer any advice as far as what to include or not include, and relatively how long "brief" is? Thank you very much.

Mine was about 3 paragraphs, with the last paragraph including detailed information w/specifics on my motivation to go to PCOM in particular. I've never applied either, but my rationale is that my personal statement is more in depth w/regards to my motivation to be a physician. Hope this helps.

I would keep it to one page or less in single spaced. I think when I applied, I wrote a one page statement.
