Nope, no love from Penn. But i'm over Penn. I don't actually work there, i work for a private practice that is affiliated, but i DO take post-bacc courses there. Although, last year, the director of admissions pretty much told me not to apply because they had plenty of "qualified applicants from princeton" when she heard my gpa. The more time i spend there though, the less i like it. I'm not overly impressed wtih the attitudes of the students that i've met. i'd be much happier at a lot of other places i've interviewed and/or been accepted. I don't really think i'd fit at Penn anymore, although i used to love it.
ouch! what attitude!!! 😱
I find it interesting how some top schools are very much numbers schools, like WashU, which has a 3.91, 37 average 😱😱😱, while other top schools like UCLA, UCSF have reasonably high averages of like 33-35 and 3.7-3.8 but are still in the same league and are still very much sought out. I think that speaks a lot to the kind of students those two types of top schools attract and the kind of class environment they have.
I'd much rather be at a school with very interesting people than at a school with stellar averages stocked with gunners
