Hi, I was recommended to follow along in BRS Physiology throughout my current physiology course (first time learning it) as an aid for my future studying for step 1. What does everyone here think, and if I do this, how should I be using the BRS book on a daily/weekly basis alongside my course? I also heard about using the actual big Costanzo's book ... thoughts?

Thanks!

Highly recommend BRS physiology. Its explanations are clear and simple enough that you can understand it without prior knowledge. I would read it before your actual physiology lectures.

I recommend costanzo book for class and BRS for boards. Costanzo actually wrote the BRS book too but it's more abbreviated and I think for maximal understanding the first time around, the textbook is the way to go. Makes BRS a much quicker and more meaningful review later on for board study. And physio is huge for not only pathology but also understanding vs memorizing pharm.
