I am planning on going to a post-bac pre-med program following my upcoming year in undergraduate school. I go to a very small college (450 students, including graduate) and have always gone to very small schools.
I have been diligently reading this message board for about six months and am waivering between UPenn and Bryn Mawr. Bryn Mawr seems as though it has the small personal environment I am accustomed to. However, I am always up for a change. I want a challenge and, so I have read, will most definitely get that at UPenn.
I am essentially interested in hearing back from anyone about their experience at Bryn Mawr, as I gather it is the top post-bac program. I am not too thrilled at the prospect of an all girls school, although it might be rather fun. It is also not directly in the city.
UPenn seems to offer the opposite of these two problems, namely, its location in the city and that it is co-ed. Academically, am I missing important factors? Or will these schools give me relatively similar outstanding education.
I am interested in applying to some top medical schools and want to have been prepared for the shock and change moving from a small liberal arts school to a bigger med school. Any imput is most welcome!! Thanks
