I would like to bring up an aspect of the OP's characater that most certainly plays an effect in any negative vibes he may be giving off regarding osteopathic medicine.
The OP is from India, so am I (ok, well my parents are immigrants, not me). As we all know, MD's have a broader spectrum when it comes to international practice rights then do DO's. That is a fact. In India, there are no DO's, and if there are, the represent 0.0000000001% of the total physician population. In India, to be a doctor means to be an MD. I can see where that attitude would carry over coming from this country...as I feel the same thing. My parents/relatives are still pushing for me to apply (which I did) to allopathic schools.
As was said, best thing to do is to educate. However, being as how the OP is foreign, I see his side of the coin....which brings me back to my original statement that he has his own reasons for applying where he did...and that's that.
