B's in orgo

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Not me, but a very close friend. Two C's, Ochem I and II. B in Ochem I lab, C in Ochem II lab (labs and lecture are separate at my institution). His other classes were very strong and high A's. Decent lower 30's on the MCAT. Was very well rounded, interviewed well, and had a strong persona. He got in a top 20. Don't let anyone discourage you.

He apparently was trusted enough despite his Ochem performance by adcoms to be accepted into their institution and deal with a lot classes that are dependent on Ochem like biochem, molecular bio, etc.

Don't let your B's discourage you. There are some professors who don't look at the average Ochem class and think "These are premeds". They'll go all out, and drain every bit from you, wanting you to learn. I've come to accept that in some classes, a B actually means you know the material very well, despite what the connotation a B has amongst the premed community.
