Hi everyone,
I am a little confused and I have to give my deposit down to an undergraduate school soon. I know I want to become a physician, but I am stuck between two places.
1.) University of the Sciences - Cooper Medical School of Rowan University
- 8 year program
- extremely little scholarship - would be paying around $40,000 per year for four years
- on the bright side I am NJ state resident so Cooper would have tuition of around $35,000 + living
- Minimuum gpa 3.5 and MCAT of 508
2.) Ramapo College of NJ - Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine
- 7 year program
- Presidential scholarship, would only have to pay $6,500 per year
- LECOM tuition is also $35,000 per year + living
- minimum GPA 3.5 and NO MCAT
Money is a determining factor somewhat. I am really worried that it'll take me way too long to pay back my loans. I wouldn't be taking the full amount in loans, but I am not sure. I don't want to spend my entire life paying the loans back. I guess I just want everyone's opinions because I honestly don't know anymore.
Thanks! All feedback is appreciated!
