I interviewed at BU and never heard anyone talk about a 4-yr option. they spoke about approx. 12 residents being accepted for pgy-2. when I went to go make my rank list I saw that they have 1 categorical spot and 5 advanced positions?????!!!
wussssup? please help me out if you know something.

thanks gang

also...

if you apply for only categorical OR advanced at a program when submitting ERAS and then go interview- can you rank both regardless of how you applied initially?
do programs automatically put you on both their lists??

thanks again gang

I think it depends on the program. Some have 1 master rank list so it would be to your favor to rank both, others might rank you higher based on your initial choice. At least that's what I was told. You may want to contact the programs individually to see how they do it. Either way, I don't think there would be any harm in ranking both anyway (aside from taking up a rank slot)

Thanks Chihillo!

I thought I was blacklisted because of my other threads and nobody would respond....

Hey, do you have any thoughts on BU's call schedule and do you know if they do any research. Also do you know anything about their didactics. Would you be able to compare it NEMC?
