BU Housing

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I'm not attending Excel, but I'm willing to rent an aprtment with someone who is. I will pay for July's rent b/c I'm thinking about moving in mid-july. I'm an asian female and prefer to live with another female.. message me if you're interested in the offer. The only thing is... I cant find a place until I know someone will live with me.

SO, those going to BU, how many of you are are waiting for the EXCEL program to look for housing?
I plan on looking for roommates/a place to live during the Excel program. They said we should have plenty of time and I figure it is easier to find a place in person, rather over the internet.

People keep saying Excel is a good time to search for housing, but I was thinking that it'll be too late and a lot of the good places will be off the market--can any current BU students shed light on that? If it's not too late to search for a place in July, then I might just do that during Excel, because as of now searching for a place online is fruitless!

I should've come to this site a long time ago! I was looking for a roommate, but found one eventually, although it would've been nice to live with a fellow class mate! I'll see you in August!

Unless you know someone living in Boston who could help you with your search, the best place to look for apartments is craigs list. They have tons of listing and you can even get a real estate broker (at no fee) to help with your search. I was talking to a girl at one of the real estate places and she said good places go pretty quickly (like in May/June), but that occassionally good places open up at the end of July. I know how annoying the apartment hunt can be, especially if you are not from Boston!
