I was recently accepted into BU & love the school but I am unsure I can afford the school. $280K is alot in loans, Nova seems like an attractive alternative and I am patiently waiting for an interview, I sent them my stuff late (towards the end of January).

My question is Nova a good school? I have heard a lot of strange things such as they might lose their accreditation, they are having problems trying to attract patients, etc. You input is highly valued.

Thanks Again

Vikas,

Nova is not going to lose their accreditation. That is a rumor. As for their patient pool it is very large. I interviewed there in January and trust me there are enough patients to go around. Even my Taxi driver told me his family and many people that he knows go there. You have to remember there are only 2 dental schools in Florida, so the people that do not want to pay top dollar for dental care will turn to the dental schools for an alternative..Nova being that. Nova is a really good school. I hope that you do get the interview there so that you can come back and tell us all how you enjoyed it.

If this makes you feel better I talked to some students that were accepted to Columbia, Michigan, and UPENN and they chose Nova over those schools. Hey all of them were all still happy were their descion. Good Luck and remember it is really not where you go it is what you make of it in the end.

Thanks for the input. I am definately looking forward to going down to FL for an interview. Still no word though for sure if I got an interview or not. I did get some kind of pin from Nova which I posted a question about earlier. I assumed the comments were rumors but you never know. I've been doing some research and it seems like a solid school.

Thanks Again.
Vikas
