I checked BU's website, and it says,

"Social Sciences – 5 courses (20 credits). The committee strongly recommends that the applicant's college curriculum include courses in psychology, humanities, sociology or anthropology, and economics."

Does this mean 5 courses are required and psyc, humanities, sociology, anthropology, and economics are recommended?

This seems a lot to me.

eh, i think they're just looking for open minded, well-rounded students. they sound like things you could've done for gen ed requirements. i'm pretty sure they're not required, nor does one class have to be taken per subject. i find it a little amusing because i went there for undergrad and was a psych major, and dabbled in a few econ classes and religion classes to take care of their gen ed reqs.

Hmm.. because my school's curriculum says that I took only about 3 classes under social science sections. I guess I can take them during my senior year, if they require them later.

my school looks at psychology as life science.
And i already took 1 year of both psychology and sociology.

Does it mean i have to take some other social science courses since psychology is recognized as life sci in my school?

wow lucky? sGPA booster much?

anyways i'm pretty sure thats more the exception than the rule. i think psych is social science everywhere else.

and the usual mantra "call the schools you are planning to apply to and ask them" yadda yadda..

I called BU a few weeks ago and they told me a few things...DAT as well as GPA, prefer a bio or other science major, and community service...there friendly people except for this one lady that picks up...not sure about name

What did u mean bu "DAT as well as GPA?" And did you ask them about their social sciences? Is it required for admission?

Well I mean that they require a strong DAT as well as a strong GPA, like typically they all do...well in terms of social science, its always good to have that but they also want the required courses that are listed on their site but upper level science courses such as A&P, BIOCHEM, ZOOLOGY, MICROBIOLOGY, ETC. is encouraged.

Gotcha! Thanks!

Yep, but you're a sophomore I assume, so you have a little bit of time before you get done with the major sciences...but just hope that BU doesn't change their standards by the time youre ready!
