BU rejection last week and recieved email today for secondary fee

haha this is truely ******ed. It just goes to show that most schools want the extra 50-75 bucks. I recieved a letter in the mail stating im not competitive enough last week and today i recieve an email stating I need to send in my application fee for my application to be further processed. I'm dumb but not that dumb. What a good way to run a business.

The rejection letter is probably from the last cycle. They haven't even begun reviewing applications yet.

if u applied there last cycle then the rejection was for last cycle. the app. fee would be for this cycle.

Are you serious?? Gosh. I never heard from them at all. Maybe my acceptance letter was lost in the mail. Maybe there's still hope! I should stop by and pay them a visit.

unless last year's cycle was 2008 than its this years. it was clearly stated its for the 2008 cycle.

The schools probably do mass emailings. Could explain why you get an email requesting a fee after they've already sent you a rejection. Not very nice, but they probably don't have time to email all 3000 applicants personally.

true story....im attending bu and received an email the other day thanking me for my 2008 application.....i had reapplied before being accepted.....as far as 3000 goes, the approximate final number of applicants i heard for my class was around 4600.

Yea I got the same thing. They also said not to contact them for status... What the heck is going on? Maybe it is for last year since I never hear from them last year. They should at least include aadsas # in there so we know who or what year its for since they asked us to fill it out all over the places.

Yeah, couple of days ago I got a rejection from last cycle too, but then I applied really late (November) so I assumed that's why the letter is also quite late. It didn't have any reference to any particular cycle, nor an AADSAS #. I'm guessing they mass-mail the rejection too!
