Hi There,

I have an interview coming up in Buffalo. It would cost me about 600$ for the whole thing(ticket+hotel)..its EXPENSIVE. Is it worth it or not? [If I reschedule my interview(if they let me) I can find a cheaper ticket for about 300$, but some people have told me not to reschedule my interview]. some suggestions please...

You sent in the money to apply, were lucky enough to get an interview... GO...

.....end of thread....

Whats the point of applying to a school if you arent going to go to the interview? I would understand skipping out on interviews if your top choice has accepted you, but at this point in the game, thats not the case.

The money is chump change compared to what you will encounter next year with tuition, instruments, books, fees, etc...

Good luck at the interview.

I agree 100%. I wanted to see if I reschedule my interview, would that be a problem?

More than likely it isn't a problem, but you might have to schedule it for later... and later is not better.

That is a small price to pay for a shot at getting into a dental school. Just think of that $600 as a reason to do extra well on the interview! =D

About a third of buffalo class fills up by dec 1 from what I remember last year. And almost everyone who is accepted puts down the $250 deposit so the longer you wait the more likely you will be placed on alternate list.

I had a Choice of early October interview but scheduled it for November. Hopefully, i'll be okay. 😕

If I get an interview in the next week, I'll switch with you if you want. I live in Toronto so the school is less than an hour and a half away from me. Hopefully I get a time in November so it can work out for both of us 🙂

Are you doing other interviews? If so, and if buffalo isn't a top choice, I'd say reschedule it for after dec 1. Then, if you don't get accepted anywhere else, you can still go interview at buffalo.
