I have rented a car in Buffalo (not for interview but another time). It was a great way to get around.

Do Not Rely On Public Transportations As Buses And Trains Tend To Be Late. I Go To School In Buffalo And I Can Tell You That It Is Hard To Get Around Without A Car.

Please don't tell me you were actually thinking of relying on public trans to get around buffalo?

The only good thing they have is the metro to go from UB to the sabres games.

Renting a car will make your life easier. Don't venture too far south of the school past winspear if you are unfamiliar with the area. You will start to see a lot of blinged out caddys and lincolns. Probably don't want to stop too long at the stop signs there during the day and not at all at night.

I am exaggerating a bit but enjoy your time there. 🙂

RENT A CAR.
I grew up in Buffalo. It's easy to navigate- just be sure you're comfortable driving in the snow. The public transport system isn't the greatest and it's not the type of system like in NYC where everyone rides it- sometimes it isn't safe.
