I tend to burn out when i reach the bio section during practice tests.
I begin to lose focus, my brain is fried , and i can't think as well.
Anyone have any tips?

Do the writing section...it gives you practice for the real thing and it's also a nice break from answering questions.

Unless you're already doing that...then I'm not sure...try to eat something before you take BS or stretch...etc

Being in shape really helps with concentration. I used to get tired too, then I really upped my time at the gym and I do a lot of cardio, and I felt really good during BS section. Physical fitness is extremely important, now get out there and run some laps!

um, do it as if its the real thing. so take your 10min breaks, and eat a snack after the writing section. pep talk, etc. i find doing this motivates you into performing better on the later sections of the test.

i don't think any more mental concentration will help. maybe do some pushups in the bathroom. that's what i heard someone doing haha

caffeine could help. also, try eating something crunchy, like an apple or carrot. some say it helps blood flow to the brain.

Or alternatively, instead of the positive reinforcement that everyone has been giving, you could go with the alternative route of negative reinforcement. Just think "If I don't get above a 10 on this bio section, I'm not allowed to eat dinner. And I won't get into medical school. So try harder or starve. "

lol

Just keep doing the full length tests---writing included. You'll build up testing stamina, and it'll be less of a problem.

it gets better as you do more practice tests.

the writing section is a good break during the actual test. treat it as the fun and not critically important part of the test. try to have fun coming up with examples.
