Depends. If you're doing a crown prep, you're probably talking about a bur. If you've been walking in a field and have a bunch of little green things stuck to your leg, they're burrs.

Googling Dental Bur gives me 610,000 results and Dental Burr gives me 440,000 results

Personally I just spell it with 1 "r", but then again I tend to be lazy in nature😀😆

In all seriousness though, the Brasseler catalog on my desk spells it with 1 "r" so that should clarify things
