Hi all! I need help in my decision making for these 3 schools I have been accepted to. I had paid my deposit for LMU-DCOM (new FL campus) back in November when I first got my acceptance. But I just found out about my acceptances for BCOM (Las Cruces, NM campus) and LECOM (Erie, PA campus). Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
LMU-DCOM (FL):
Pros:
-Somewhat established school with good reputation
-Steady board pass rates (90% +) based on their website
-Steady match rates (with some specialization matches)
-Cheaper than BCOM
Cons:
-Will be the inaugural/ guinea pig for the FL campus, won't know how rotations are in FL or the overall experience
-Heard recent issues about administration and faculty (they're not supportive/ care only about profit)
-not as much information for COMLEX 2 and 3 pass rates
BCOM (NM):
Pros:
-P/F grading
-Heard faculty is helpful
-Smaller classes
Cons:
-limited research
-most expensive
-I am from NYC, so am apprehensive about living in Las Cruces
-heard board pass rates aren't accurate because of high attrition rates
-also heard same issues about admin
-not as much information for COMLEX 2 and 3 pass rates
LECOM (PA):
Pros:
-well known, more established
-PA isn't far from NY
-solid board pass rates (showing all COMLEX exams)
-solid match rates
-lowest tuition
Cons:
-heard issues about administration
-people say community and faculty aren't helpful
-big classes (didn't like being in a big class in college)
Overall each school seems to have their own issues, and have heard so many stories about XYZ and why they either love or hate the school. It seems a lot of people have issues with the administration/ culture of each school one way or another. I would like some guidance on what to choose, especially since I only have 2 days to give an answer to LECOM. Thanks so much!
