Hi Guys,

I'm a first-year MD-PhD student studying cognitive neurosci. I've identified the lab I want to work with, so it's time for me to order those requisite business cards.

I was wondering what other MD-PhD students put on their business cards.

I was thinking "MD-PhD Candidate" but I'm not sure what the general consensus is.

Thanks!

Perhaps you are jumping the gun a little bit? I never had a business card throughout my MSTP . . . I always thought it was a little pretentious. During intern year, frankly, I didn't WANT any of my patients to be able to contact me. But I finally got them during my residency (program paid) since it is an outpatient speciality

But, if you ar insistent "MD/PhD Candidate" sounds better to m than "MD/PhD Student." YMMV.

I wasn't intending it for patients but instead as a good way to have people contact me when I meet them at conferences and what not.

Thanks for the reply!

I'd say that you merit a business card when you have an office (or desk) with your own telephone.
