Are business majors looked down upon my med schools? I want to get a BBA from Ross at Michigan, but some people are saying that not many business kids get accepted to med school..is this true?

Competitive grades, competitive MCAT, all pre-reqs complete, clinical experience and you'll be all set to get in somewhere. Your major is not very important in the process, and not looked down upon.

I mean, at this point, i don't know if i'm planning on having a private practice. I just wanted to make use of my university's strengths and earn a useful major. I'm not saying a science major is useless, but a business major might open doors for me in the future- whether it be a private practice or hospital management of some kind.

your fine just do well in those few science classes you have to take and do well on the mcat like anyone else with good clinical/nonclinical volunteer work then your as competitive as them regardless of your major. 👍

I think it's a great idea! Actually, it's a lot of work to major in business and complete premed requirements.....since there is no overlap. I think it would show you are motivated.

Kick butt in business and your sciences classes and do the typical pre-med stuff (upper level science courses, volunteering, shadowing, research?, etc.) and you'll do fine if your scores are competitive.
