It can be used for pain procedures but it has limitations. It is not great for cervical transforaminals due to poor visualization, it has a limited C-arc creating a problem if the beam needs to be rotated to within 40 degrees of the coronal plane (have to reverse the patient on the table), and has trouble handling obese patients. The mA output is more limited than other machines but does have a "dense anatomy" button that is effectively the equivalent of an ersatz digital spot on the 9800.
The other issues revolve around the arm containing the monitor is too short, causing the physician to twist and turn in order to see it, since it is mounted on the C-arm itself.
