Hello everyone,

So far, I've received straight A's (finished all other prereqs) other than my genchem 2 lab class (C-). The reason for this grade is because.....

1. I got seniorits LOL (yes I am first-semester senior status atm, graduating early)
2. I took genchem 2 lecture at a different school 2 years ago, and the prof assumes knowledge from genchem 2 lecture for the exams.
3. The contents of genchem 2 lecture that I took at a different school is VERY VERY different from the content that my prof at this school assumes for the exams.

For these reasons I got a C- in genchem 2 lab. Will this have an effect on me?

Hi, even though I don't have a similar experience, I can tell you that it will impact your overall application. The vast majority of dental schools don't accept C- (only C and above and that's not even competitive) on science prerequisites. If I were you I would retake the GenChem with lecture & lab in the same school (preferably not a community college) and I would explain to each school's admission committee the "story" behind the (C-).
