so... The grades are out and seems like I got a c- in orgo1 instead of a c+ and need to retake it. Anyone else has the same experience with failing a pre-req and still got into dental schools?

You'll be fine. I received a C- in Bio 100 and recently got several acceptances. Just retake the class and get comfortable with the material so you can rock the DAT. You'll be sitting pretty given that you have a solid GPA, DAT, and EC's.
