So long story short..through a series of unfortunate events i am in danger of recieving a C- in my neuro lab. I will obviously do my best to not recieve this ugly grade, but hypothetically should i recieve this grade...would that have adverse effects on my acceptance chances? I mean this in regards to academic update. I hear that after you applied, so long as you hold a C average your fine. so what of a C-? thanx.

bro, I have a couple D's on my record. The schools havn't seemed to care thus far. As long as the great grades overshadow the mediocre ones.

haha, dont you have like a 3.8 from Princeton? btw, are you a bro or a sis?

i have gotten 2 c-'s and i've gotten 2 interviews so I don't think it will affect you that much. good luck!

Thank you guys for your replies. however, what i really want to know is what grade will disqualify you after your accepted into dental school. hypothetically speaking, if lets say i get accepted..and then i send in my academic update, will a C- disqualify me? or is it a D...or an F. thanx.

It just depends the school that offers you a seat. In addition if the class is a pre-requisite, then you could have some problems. But since it's neuro lab I don't think you will have any problems. Call the schools you applies to and find out what there policy is. If I were you I would just wait it out and see what happens on December 1st, then find out if it will be a problem. Who knows maybe you won't end up with the C- after all. Good luck

Well for my school a C- is good to go, D+ is no good if you need that class as a prerequesit or for a major. You stil get some credit for the D or D+ but its not considered passing. However they wanted to change it to C- as not "passing", but I think that fell through. Thats just for my undergrad, im not sure what the D-schools have to say about it though. Ive read a few places that they want to see a C or better in all the prereqs, but Im not 100% sure on that.
