So basically I'm in a medical masters program at a DO school and so far I'm thinking I can achieve a 3.4-3.5 in my fall semester. I have A's and B's in 4 of the courses but a low grade in the 5th which is biochem. I can either stick it out and get a C or C+ or drop the course by Friday. I understand they're both bad and will hurt my chances of getting into medical school this cycle but which option is superior?

Just a thought, If you are at a DO school, why don't you ask an advisor of that program? They could probably give you better, firsthand insight. I would say if you were failing, then the W. But in this case, I can give you no other advice than talk to an advisor.

Best of luck!

Thank you for the response! I did talk to an advisor who is also a professor in the program and she told me to drop the class instead of getting a C. She said it will hurt my chances of getting into this specific school but didn't know how it would look to other schools.
