Hello everyone,

I just took AAMC FL1 and scored a 514 (C/P: 127, CARS: 129, B/B 129, P/S: 129). My main concern at the moment is C/P not because of this score alone, but I just feel weak in that area whenever I take a FL.

During content review I skipped the entire physics, gen chem, and ochem books because I looked through them and I thought it was too much material to cover for a small amount of content. My exam is 2 weeks out (4/13) and I was wondering what would be the best way to boost this section quickly?

Are there any good websites or summary videos that cover physics concepts quickly. Would it be a good idea to cover only the high yield sections from the Kaplan books?

Thanks

Physics and CP are predominantly questions you can answer without even having read the passages, they're pretty much all discrete. I'd recommend you get very comfortable with the formulae and aim to gain an intuitive grasp of the concepts as there isn't much memorization involved unlike the Biochem/Bio section or Psych/Soc.

Also get good at doing math calculations, especially scientific notation and expressing numbers as fractions. Ideally, seeing 900nm as 9e-7 m should become second nature to you.

The best way to 'cram' for CP in two weeks is to do tons and tons of passages and questions. After reviewing them, keep a running list of the equations, definitions, and you used. Like ultravioletcat said, much of the CP section can be thought of as independent questions that happen to correspond to the topics in the passage. You will need to extract trends and data from the passage in many of those questions, but the questions themselves will feel like free standing questions in many ways, as long as you know your basics.
