C-

I know that ur not suppoesd to take prereqs at cc...they will know that it is a C- , I dont know where u got that information but my grades are listed exactly as they were on my AADSAS. I suppose whether or not id suggest retaking it depends on ur dat and gpa.. if its >3.5 and 20s, i would let it slide, do very well in the 2nd sem, and have an explanation for why u did poorly in the first.

IMO while it is an important prereq, it is not at par with chem, bio, etc. in importance seeing as how it is not on the DAT.

I recently got a C- in physics 1. I know this is a prereq course for all dental schools, but I also heard that the dental schools see a C- as a C when you convert your gpa since not all schools use a plus/muins system. I was wondering if this is true. I was planning on taking physics 2 in the spring semester and applying this summer, however if I have to retake this course I will most likely have to hold of applying for another year or just retake the first part at a community college over summer. If anyone could confirm this for me it would be very helpful.

For all of the dental schools that I know require at least a C. Many of them specifically says no C-, since C- is actually a 1.7. Also, it would be best to take the entire series at the same school.

true. I forgot about this factor.

Call the schools that you will apply to. But...I would retake. A c- is really low. BUT call the schools!
