you should go to UCIrvine since ur from orange county....

i went to ucsd, its really strong academically and research wise, very competitive though and it has a rep for not being the most social university but i think its all what you make of the experience, i enjoyed my 4 years there

UCLA 👍
I love it!
many, awesome opportunities

yes, i read something about UCLA that has nice EMC program which is a good opportunity to make a good experience and credit before going to a medical school 😛

Started at UCI but transferred to a private school out of state and kept CA residency. I wanted to stay in CA but the cost of attendance at a similar private school there would have been over twice as much as what I'm paying now.

I feel like I have to give Davis some love. OP, ask any relevant questions about Davis via PM.

UCI here, the school is ok. Its got good points like its not very competitive like UCLA or UCSD, fairly easy to maintain high grades while still having a life, great area to live in, and lots of opportunities for research if thats your thing. On the down side its really a commuter school, so if youre looking for that "college feel" it wont be here, campus is kinda plain and boring but theres plenty of stuff to get involved in if u wanted. Overall i choose UCI due to the financial aid package i got, so it was really a no brainer for me, free tuition + very large stipend and no loans = UCI was the best choice for me. If it wasnt for the aid package id have probably gone somewhere else.

Please. Irvine turned out to look like what I imagined Davis would look like; a green oasis surrounded by desolate, dry land. Besides, we can just walk outside and pick our cow for dinner. Can YOUU??

UCSD, on the other hand, I still like. If they hadn't messed up acceptances my year and accidentally deferred everyone to Winter quarter, I might've gone there instead.

UC Santa Barbara! Beautiful campus! But its true, it is a huge party school. There is a community of Bio majors that study a lot, but it is very easy to get distracted. Very laid back, not competitive. Classes are way too big, I've only had two bio classes with less than 150 people. I didn't know what I wanted to major in when I was a freshman, I chose between UCI and UCSB.

Cal Bear 👍👍

THanx a lot for your sharing~ 😀
quite nice of you ~~ ^^

I go to UCIrvine, I really like it and choose it over Davis and SB. The campus is fairly compact and organized but the park is also nice and I am only a freshman and am involved in research. Really enjoying the school, lots of opportunities if you just go looking and the classes are not killer though labs suck but I doubt thats unique to Irvine.
